Alice follows a strange white rabbit into a rabbit hole and enters a magical world. She sees many wonderful things and experiences strange adventures because of her curiosity.

Subject and Predicate

Read this sentence:

Arshi is a good writer.

In the above sentence, Arshi is Subject (S) because we are talking about Arshi and is a good writer is Predicate (P) because these words tell us something about Subject (Arshi). Thus, Subject is defined as that part of a sentence about which we talk and Predicate is defined as the remaining part of a sentence which tells us something

about the Subject.

NOTE: The Predicate sometimes contains only one word. E.g.:

1. Nida Sings.

2. Yusuf stammers.

3. Aeroplanes fly.
