Short Summary

"Flying Together" from the Panchatantra is a story that imparts a valuable lesson on the consequences of acting without careful consideration. The narrative revolves around a group of geese birds living in a tree. An old wise bird among these birds warns them about an impending danger from a hunter, if they did not cut the creeper growing on the tree they were living. However, the pigeons, underestimating the credibility of the wise bird, dismiss the warning and take no action.

Soon, a hunter arrives and spreads a net under the tree. The pigeons find themselves trapped, realizing too late that the old wise bird’s warning, was genuine. In their desperate situation, the pigeons regret not heeding the advice of the wise old bird. Then, take the advice of the old wise bird that helped them set free from the hunter’s net. The story teaches the importance of discernment and the repercussions of ignoring valuable counsel. It is well said ‘Old is Gold’.
